1966 D1000 Dodge. Equipped with an 885 cubic inch Cummins 6 cylinder diesel engine that has been completely overhauled by the Cummins rebuild center in Arlington Tx. Relatively low miles since the rebuild many years ago. Has a 10 speed Roadranger transmission and single drive axle. Rear axel is a tag axle that can be driven with a belt off the front set of wheels. Air brakes are in good service and have no problems. Still equipped with air hoses and glad hands for trailer. All aluminum cab construction is therefore rust free, and lower skirting is fiberglass. Steering and suspension is tight and needs no repairs. Drives very well down the highway. Has provisions for power take off still intact. Has the large 36" sleeper option with heater and dual dome lights. Air operated wipers and REAL loud horn. Originally dark green, then painted yellow, then blue.
Was last used on a farm as a grain hauler with a lift bed, and before that was used on a rural fire department as a water truck. Could use the interior and sleeper re-upholstered. Can be driven home dependably.
