PARTY NOTICE!

This year our anual get togther will be JULY 25, 2009

Join us on Saturday July 25 th this year for some great BBQ and soft drinks, as there will be a great turn out of cars and friends. Several of the cars we have built or worked on will be on hand for your enjoyment. Bring your car or bike or whatever you have for everyone to enjoy. Honorary attendees will include my Dad, as we are also celebrating his 80th birthday. Im sure he would be glad to give firsthand insight into what a Mopar dealership was like in the 60's and 70's.  We will start gathering just after noon and should have a hot fire and food shortly afterwards and throughout the day.Due to obvious liability factors, you will need to bring your own drinks other than the sodas, please drink responsibly and bring a designated driver. Camping is welcome, as there is plenty of room for everyone.  

We are still just north of scenic Burlington, Kansas, on US highway 75. Its half-way between Burlington and New Strawn, or exactly 12.9 miles south of I35 exit 155. If you are going to stop by, call ahead and we can give you easy directions from just about anywhere. Make a note of our new phone numbers, located on each of our pages.

Our goal is to provide parts and cars at a price that is affordable to the average enthusiast when possible. This being the age of information, its becoming harder to find cars and parts priced where we can sell them to you economically. Everybody seems to get a distorted view of values after watching televised and internet auctions, and it becomes difficult to find a 'good buy' to pass on to you. Therefore, we may not have the largest inventory, but what we do have is priced right.

Frequent visitors have noticed and commented on the arrival of some GM products. This has generated questions about our loyalty to the Mopar camp. Never fear, its still  The MOPAR Dude. Part of our staff has extensive exposure to GM, as well as just about everything else American made. This gives us the insight we need to be able to come up with alternative choices for muscle car enthusiasts without trying to peddle junk. Quite frankly, the Mopar market is a wave that is growing daily and there are a lot of folks trying to cash in on it. They find one old car and the TV auction/Ebay mentality kicks in, and they want to make enough money on that one car to retire on. In short, the $300 pasture find has magically become the $3000 parts car, simply because they think they saw one sell for 3 million dollars on Speedvision. Therefore, its becoming difficult to find Mopars priced where we can buy them and make a little without pricing it out of the average budget. There were 10 times more GM muscle cars made, and there are 10 times as many buyers. It only makes sense that if you are going to keep the lights on, you better have something to sell to as many buyers as possible. 

Look at the big picture--30+ year old American iron, rear wheel drive, gas guzzling, tire frying muscle cars are the objective. There is nothing else like it and its the buzz that you get from being in or around them that creats the hobby. Only .001% of the world  can afford a Hemi car and the rest of us have to get what we can afford. Thats where the non-Mopars come into the picture. Just trying to have something for everybody
